We would like to welcome Dave and Ashley Napuunoah to the staff of Calvary Baptist Church.  Bro. Dave has been hired as our intern youth pastor on January 9, 2011.  He will be working with all of the youth programs at the church but focusing on the teen department.  Ashley will be helping us with special music and playing the piano.  We are extremely excited about the potential of this young couple and the blessing they will be to our church.  We are anticipating God doing some great things in our youth department.

We would like to thank all of the helpers that made our 2010 VBS a huge success! Without the love and support of so many faithful members, events like this would not be possible for our youth! 76 kids were on hand to watch Pastor King take a “few” plunges into the dunk tank! Let’s just say those kids had a good aim!

VBS at Calvary was a HUGE success this year! If you didn’t get a chance to join us, you missed a very blessed event… You couldn’t ask for much better than 76 kids by Friday night and 11 salvations! That’s what it is all about, isn’t it? Each night kids rolled into the room in staggering numbers! There was laughter, there were tears, there were little ones plugging their ears… We had a blast doing bible lessons, singing songs, learning bible verses, playing beach ball volley ball, enjoying some friendly competitions and so much more!

As we all know, girls RULE and boys DROOL! That’s right the girls won the offering competition… so, this lucky young man got to enjoy a tasty treat…. A PIE IN THE FACE (and nose, eyes, hair, ears)!

Thanks again to everyone that worked hard to make VBS a huge success… and a special thanks to the King Family for all of the time and effort they put into making this event a great blessing to everyone!

Mister Bubba Jones

We were blessed to have an old faithful friend visit us at our annual Mother-Daughter Banquet this year! Mister Bubba Jones once again appeared and thrilled us with another one of his soul searching sermons! Most of us were moved to tears… barely a dry eye in the crowd! Thank You Bubba for your faithfulness to the Lord and to our church!

As luck would have it, the church was able to get one of the most sought after acts around for our entertainment this year! We were blessed to have The Vikings with Man Purses entertain us! Thank you guys for your devotion and service to the Lord!
