Most people today want to know for sure that when they die they will go to Heaven. Unfortunately, people are being told a variety of ways to accomplish this goal. The truth is this, there is only one way to get to Heaven.
Jesus says in John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
The only way to Heaven is through what Jesus did for us on the cross of Calvary! If we accept this, we can KNOW for sure we are on our way to Heaven.
Jesus says in I John 5:13 “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life…”
If Jesus says He is the way for us to know Heaven is our eternal home, what must we do?
1. Realize that we are all sinners.
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
2. Realize there is a penalty for sin.
Romans 6:23a “For the wages of sin is death…”
3. Realize Jesus paid the penalty for us.
Romans 6:23b “…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
4. Call upon Him to be your Savior.
Romans 10:9-10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
If you believe what the Bible says, pray today and ask Jesus to come into your life. Ask Him to forgive you of your sins and be your Savior. Trust Him as your only way to eternal life in Heaven.
