1. You Are A Lost Sinner Under God’s Condemnation!
Most men in the world today believe in their heart that they are a pretty good person. However, the Bible says in Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Well, truth be told you could deceive your family, your friends, and even yourself but there is one person that knows the whole truth about you. That is God. Have you ever examined your heart and life against the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1-17)? If you are honest, you will find that you have broken God’s law and will be guilty on the day of judgment. Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” You were born a sinner and are under God’s condemnation. Galatians 3:24 “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.” Revelation 3:19b “that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.” My dear friend the Bible says that one day you will die and stand before God. How do you think that you’ll fare?
2. You Have A Sin Debt That You Cannot Pay!
Just as when we go to work all week long, we expect a payday. The same goes for all of our sins. Payday is coming, and you have earned a wage! Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” You will stand bankrupt before God, and no amount of good works, church memberships, water baptisms, penances, or your own righteousnesses will do you any good. Isaiah 64:6 “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags”. You see when God looks at all the good works that we think that we can do to earn favor with God all he sees are dirty shop rags. Most men think that God will weigh your good deeds against your bad deeds and whichever is greater will prevail, or they think that God will weigh you against some other sorry acting sinner, and whichever has the better works will prevail. Neither of these are true. If God were to use a scale system to weigh righteous vs unrighteous, he will put Jesus Christ on one side and you on the other and the scales will not be in your favor! Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
3. You Cannot Save Yourself!
Titus 3:5 “Not of works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost” Nothing that we could ever do in our own power would enable us to receive the grace and mercy of God. Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” My friend think about this gift for a moment. A gift is something that costs you absolutely nothing but costs the giver everything. For someone to offer you a gift so special, even though, they know every little detail and every deep dark secret that you have. How good has God been to you to offer you something so special. And it costs you absolutely NOTHING!!
4. You Must Know That Jesus Christ Is Your Only Hope! He Paid It All!
Think about it, Jesus Christ cried out from the cross “It is finished” as he was dying for all of your wickedness, lewdness, and ungodliness. He paved the way so you and I could have eternal life. Acts 4:12 “Neither is their salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” My dear friend if you want to go to heaven, you will have to follow the only way there and that is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” Jesus Christ proclaimed that he was the way and the Bible says that there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved. Why? Because of the gospel (the good news) that Jesus Christ died for our sins and resurrected the third day.
5. Time Is Running Out
I will leave you with a few scriptures for you to think about as you finish this gospel tract. Acts 17:30 “And the times of this 11 of 15 ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.” The Bible says in Mark 1:15 “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” You may ask, “What is required of me that I might have everlasting life?” The Bible is very clear, Acts 16:31 “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved”. Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” Would you receive Him by faith today? Are you sick of your sin and have a desire to be saved? Then, why not call on God and receive the Lord Jesus Christ right now before it's too late. Don't put it off another day!! With sincerity in your heart, you could pray something like this:
Dear God, I'm a sinner who deserves to perish. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins on Calvary, was buried, and rose again the third day. I know that I have broken your laws and sinned in your sight, but I'm asking you, in the sincerity of my heart the best way that I know how, that you have mercy on me and save my soul. Please cleanse me of my sin and help me live a live that is pleasing to you. In the name of your son, the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray...Amen!
If you have called on God with a repentant heart and asked him to save you, we'd love to hear from you. We encourage you to give us a call and let us know what happened to you. You can reach Pastor Tribuzio at (765)832-2721 or email him at tribuzio1611@gmail.com
